This car body was created with AliasStudio which is also avaialable for download on the Education Community. It's not just used for RC Cars but also (especially) for the real thing. It's also widely used for consumer products. Chances are you have many things in your home that had their conceptual designs done in Autodesk Alias Studio tools.
This particular body could've been done in Inventor but using offset planes and lofting tools. The 'Sculpt' tool is also something work exploring if this sort of complex shape is appealing to you.
BTW. There is already functionality between Inventor and Alias Studio and as evidenced on Autodesk Labs (labs.autodesk.com) there is more to come.
