Did you know that Inventor can do static diagrams? Here is something that may help you in your design. So to get started you will need to start a new assembly. If you want to follow my directions, then make sure you pick the metric tab.
Click on the image to see the steps to convert over to the design accelerator and pick the beam/column calculator. You will first have to save the assembly before moving to the next step.
Make sure that it is on Beam calculator.
Pick the I-Beam for cross section.
Go to the beam calculator tab.
Add the other load with values listed.
This is the html report you get when you click on the top right of the dialog box. Keep in mind that this is only one part of the capability and no material was specified.
