Ok, so it wasn't exactly the next day... I have to tell you that I tried to load these files and it would always fail to bring them in. So I apologize but I have had a crazy schedule and didn't get this post done as fast as I wanted. Well, here goes part two. The first part is how to add you own custom bmp to the list of textures.
1. You will need to find where Inventor stores the bmp folder (yes, you have to have them as a .bmp before adding them.). If you installed with all default setup, you should find it here C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2008\Textures\surfaces.
2. Just drag or paste into the new folder. It is that easy.
This video is how to then add the new texture to your model.
Here is an interesting website for you to look at for new textures http://www.inventorwizard.be/textures/index.html. I want to put the disclaimer that I do not endorse this site, but it is yours to look over.

hi,
is it possible to define custom materials (Elastic modulus, etc.) for use in the FEA part of inventor ,
as the existing material database does not have the exact one we are looking for,
regards.
